- Be clear on what is the problem you are using this new things for, what is boundary and how you will test that.
- read/search tools, and read intro and 'getting started' really fast. (don't have to follow them)
- be sure that tools is somewhat future proof and it is unlikely the whole tool will be replaced very soon.
- learn basic data flow/ process flow of new tool.
- find examples or projects using the tool
- get started and do some hit and trial on the tool to find things you need.
- stop hit and trial now to start solving the problem with tool.
- practice learning by learning new things every week.
