Building best units is not target. That is just time consuming task. What really needed is to build 'best for now' units TO WORK WITH OTHER UNITS to get what we need.
AND BE READY TO DO YOUR WORK
- setup your tools and machines correctly to help your work. (so that we can test all kind of new tools very fast)
- work smart so your time is saved and don't have to complain that you are working 9 to 7. When task got a lot of complications and hard work than thought out don't just suck it up and do it. Talk so others know and make better decision.
Tasks:
- support the team by clearing up any ambiguity on the specs, by talking to superiors or customers.
- support the team by bringing motivation (be example in some area) and bring way of doing this which gets result.
- help members for technical excellence and organize the knowledge useful in some ways so it is easily repeatable by any team members.
- show in which place of a roadmap is the team working to give members view of big picture time to time.
- don't micromanage so members get chance to solve problems unconventionally.
- be openminded so you can learn and don't give your opinions instead of facts.
